Default radiator support removal? (searched)

anyone knows where i can find a how-to remove the radiator support (spot weleded)

how hard is it?


ive serached but every post that i found with the title wasnt answered.. thanks

Shouldn't be spot welded... are you sure you have all the bolts out? If there are spot welds just chisel or drill them out.

well im not sure ... the reason im asking uts because there is a HB for sale with rad support damage.. just wondering how hard is it before i make up my mind.

Do you have an EF now? Look at the support, I think it's 5 bolts and the hood cable... not definite though. I know it's not welded, I've had my whole front end apart with a 10mm socket.

hmm intersting.. i was told it was spot welded..

just to make sure we are talking about the same thing.. is it the whole thing side to side (fender to fender) where the head lights bolt on to? bottom part where the radiator sits?

yea there should be 4 to 6 bolts underneath there no welded and the two black hangers that are on the headline support

It depends on what we are actually talking about here. The lower mounts for the stock radiator are spot welded to the car. I drilled the spot welds and went to town with an air hammer. You need to remove them when you install the full-race bars.

Ok I thought you were talking about the T-Bar piece at the top. That bolts on. The lower crossmember will unbolt too, but yes, the brackets for the radiator are spot welded.

its not that hard just have a frame shop do it cuz they will have to pull the frame
