Default new to it all where to start? 01 civic ex automatic

hey everyone i have a 01 civic ex coupe . lookig at a K&N cold air induct. K&N says it is for manual only well i have an automatic any suggestions? looking for performance acceleration , and gas mileage increases i have aslo heard that due to south carolina's weather that a warm air would be better than cold air havent got a clue. please help!!!!!

not much you could do, just the simple mods. i say start off with suspention like a spring and shock combo or a coilover set with a front and rear strut bar. dont really know if that intake will fit a automatic, but i cant see why there would be a diffence....though i could be wrong.

yea the K&N will fit an automatic. so will an injen CAI or SRI. its RD series has one where you can interchange btwn both.

if your talkin boost as in turbo,no an automatic trans cant handle that type of power, unless your rebuild the trans for turbo
if your talkin nos, then maybe you could if your not trigger happy and give it way to much nos and blow something.

The only reason I can think of an intake being 'Manual Only' would be the mounting points and/or room for the intake since the auto and manual trannies are different shapes/sizes.
