Default 5th gen prelude speakers

I was wondering if use an aftermarket amp instead of the factory amp to power the rear speakers, would it be ok? Since the rear speakers are 2 ohm instead of 4. Thanks

If you get an amp that will handle 2-ohm speakers, it will be fine.

lets start with the question why would you want to run your factory rear speakers off of an aftermarket amp?
Is your factory amp blown?
Do you just want more power?

Amplifying your rear factory speakers is going to present 2 problems:
1. your factory speakers arent meant to handle any more power than the factory amp gives them
2. if you amplify your rears and leave the fronts stock your stereo imaging will be terrible. You wont hear your front speakers, it will sound like all you have is back speakers.
Ideally, you would actually want to buy a new component set for the front and amp them. I removed my back speakers in my prelude and fiberglassed my door panels to fit a 3-way component set. I put all my money in the front. Id suggest you do the same.
