Is your battery relocated? I would suggest it if it's not, the tube is very close to the positive terminal.

dude im gonna be nice and try to point you in a better direction by saving you money.

do not buy aem ****, all it is, is just a freakin pipe with a filter and a aem sticker slapped on it. your willing to spend $120 on a metal pipe and air filter? dont do it man, just piece together a ram air intake, its not that expensive, and gives you the same results. intake is intake. and if it makes you feel better, put a aem sticker on that pipe and start bragging

thats true.

only think i noticed about aem vs. ebay intakes was that the piping seemed to be a little thicker on the AEM. the ebay piping dents if you look at it wrong.

It's not just about the name brand. Obviously it's just a pipe, but remember the ebay ones are designed after AEM, Injen, and the like. Those companies put lots of time into engineering and tuning their stuff. Fitment is always going to be good, unlike the ebay ones, where you're taking your chances. If everyone went the cheap route and got ebay ****, nobody would be supporting the companies that produce this stuff, and we wouldn't have new products. Also, if more people were willing to buy name brands, they probably wouldn't cost so damn much. It pisses me off when people are willing to spend loads of cash on a JDM ashtray or something, but when it comes down to something that's actually functional, like anything under the hood, you see the most ghetto ****. That's part of the reason Honda drivers, especially civics, have a bad rep.

the only company that comes to mind when it comes to HYBRID intakes is ICEMAN.
