Default engine wont start under hot sun

I have a 94 lude 5spd h23....everytime that car sits under the sun for too long....i can't start it. It'll just crank n crank n crank. When the days cool down, like when sun starts setting n temp dropping, then i can start it. Can someone please help me figure out why its like that...some say its the main relay. Help asap thanks

to check if it is the main relay is simple. When you are having a problem starting it turn the ignition to the on position the check engine light should go on for 2 secs then turn off. If it doesn't go off it is almost definatly the main relay. it it doesnt go off you can try hitting or kicking the dash down by your left leg and the light should go off. and after the light goes back off the engine should start fine.
