Rattle/clinging noise from engine at certain rpms
I don't know how long its been doing this, but recently my radio caught on fire, and now without music to block out other noises, i've noticed around 3.2-3.6k rpms a rattle/cling/clutterfuck noise from my engine.. in any gear and neutral. anyone have this happen? i was thinking it could be something to do with the valves? definately something fucked up internally.. hoping its not but.. any insight would be appreciated.
does your engine actually bog and misfire when this clanging happens? because i had clanging that is similar to your description, and it ended up being a rusted exhaust pipe heat sheild.
no change in performance at all, but it happens like clockwork at those rpms.
I do seem to have no power before 4k, but i think thats just because its a b16

clanging more hollow or like a thud... you're using 91oct right?

That's my first guess as well , check All the heat shields , it's probably the one over your Cat.
