Default b18a1 swap almost done but still have questions

Hey guys, I'm fairly new here and had a few questions. After searching for a few days I still cant find what I'm looking for. The problem I'm having is this: I bought a 92 gsr cable tranny for my b18a1 swap into my 88 civic hb. The original dx cluster has a cable speedo. The new b-series tranny has a hydro speedo. How can I convert this to hydro? As far as I can tell this speedo would run off the rack and pinion, which I dont have. The dx has no power steering and I would like to keep it that way. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Cameron

Hydro speed cable? What world do you live on?

It's either you have a hydro clutched tranny or a cable tranny, or you have a cable speedo or an electric speedo.

Hmm...pick one of the two as your problem. Poor description equals bad replys.

When I get to where the car is I will post a pic. If you look on ebay they have a 92 ls tranny that has the same kind of speedo on it as mine. I was thinking about getting a ls cluster and wiring it up but I would have no clue as where to start. I have no clue what kinda speedo this is. Never seen one before. It does have 3 lines coming off the top of it for the rack and pinion to connect to. Thus is why I need help.

Thanks

Wow...thats all I can say, the B series vss has 3 ports 1 going straight up for the speedo cable and then 2 sticking out at an angle...those 2 are for the power steering fluid to flow through and lubricate it...there is no suck things as a hydro vss...wow just plug your cable into the top and there is a slit for the clip, unless there is a plug for an electronic vss you have a cable one, good luck i'm suprised you gt the motor in if you though you have a hydro vss

Oh yea since my rex dosen't have power steering i just looped the hose from the 2 ports and poured in some fluid to keep it lubricated
