Default Going turboed... questions...

first is.. i took out all the ac componets... hence more space ! now i also changed my rad dues to a fact ath it cracked.. so i got myself a koyo high flow rad.. which is longer than the oem from an hf. fit nice and boy it cools down ... had the fan installed pushing ... now ... do i have enought space for a t3/t4 and do i need to change my crossmember ? another question is.. which side should the turbine side go ? thanks you very much here are some pics fo the engine bay.

this is a repost that was on civic 2006 ... can some moderator remove it from there ? thank you

Are you planning on doing a totally custom build? (custom manifold, custom intercooler piping, etc)Or are you using manufactured parts(Such as turbonetics)?

If its a custom build, then I'd say you're probably good cause you can modify and adjust everything it once its done, however if you're planning on using a commercial kit, then I'd call the manufacturer(s) you're planning on buying from, they'll know more than we do about their own parts.

Keep us updated

Good job so far though

The manifold you use will effect weather a turbo will clear or not.I dont want to tell you this but it is going to be nasty trying to fit a T3/T4 in without a half rad.I would recommend you make your life easy and order a set of tractio bars as downpipes are a nightmare as well with the stock crossmember on a EF.I bought one from LSD motorports and it is good quality and resonable priced.Try to avoid a big ramhorn and maybe get a custom log that tucks tight to the block. For compressor you should decide which way to go when you get the parts there as it really depends.Good luck.

hmmm....from the looks of others turbo setups....it was a bad idea to get that rad...as the smaller ones such as ones from eg's are almost twice as small and give the necessary clearance for the turbo...however someone might have bypassed this issue and can comment...good luck

I have boosted CRX's with a fullsize rad it just sucks because clearance is a nightmare and it gets the rad kinda hot with a 5-600degree manifold/turbo a inch away.
