Default Anyone make a switchblade style key?

I have an uncut VW switchblade key and I'm thinking about making it work on my 2005 Civic.

This is a replacement blade for the VW key.....

And I need it cut like so.......

Then I'll cut open my key and swap the proximity microchip into the VW fob so it'll be close to the ignition just like OEM. No modifications needed to the car. Think it'll work?

That's because they have to be programmed. If I can find a shop that can cut that type of design into a key, even a machine shop, I can just transplant the internals. What does laser cut mean? Is that how they get the key cut without going all the way through?

I would say it's possible, but I see no advantage to doing all that work. That's just me, though.

i GUESS it could be possible, if you find the right place, but generally you need the dealership itself to make the key.

you would have to get the internals switched over due to the chip in the key. car will not start without the key with the chip!
