Default oil pan gasket b16

i have read many catalogs and talked to many people, should i or should i not use rtv sealant to help seal the oil pan gasket.....jdm b16

I'd only put on a tiny bit. Too much will lubricate & allow the gasket to squirm out of position. The only places where you actually need it are where the oilpump & rear seal carrier join the block. Sorta near the 4 corners of the pan.

ONLY use a thin bead along where the block meets the oil pump and the rear main seal hosing/transmission


reuse the stock clean oil pan gasket if its not torn or compressed unevenly, i reused mine w/ 200k mileson it no leak
