Default A couple recent cars that I fab'd stuff up for ->

Here's a '06 Ford Mustang GT that I made a dual 3" e-cutout exhaust for. The h-pipe is stock and the headers are JBA 3" collector longtubes, all 304 stainless using QTP cutouts. I made the 3" notch on our tubing notcher. It picked up 22 rwhp with the cutouts open versus closed (386 rwhp -> 408 on our Mustang Dyno, stock was 248 rwhp).

We also installed on this car - SPEC Stage II clutch, SPEC aluminum flywheel, Vortech HO kit, DiabloSport Predator tuned by me (Vortech kit was running 10.5:1 @ WOT) and are going to be installing a 3.23:1 gear (stock was 3.55:1, owner just wants more top end speed and to reduce traction problems) and a Wilwood 6 piston front, 4 piston rear big brake kit.

And here's a 1996 Honda Civic owned by triple_s1x on here. I fab'd up the turbo manifold, downpipe, full exhaust, intercooler piping and catch can setup. triple_s1x mocked all of the intercooler piping and we're hoping to have it tuned this weekend.

Here's the manifold with three of the runners welded up. The bends are 304 stainless from McMaster. I welded up the collector and every weld on the manifold was backpurged. -

Here's the downpipe and wastegate dump, both made out of 304. I used solar flux on these. -

Here's the rest of the exhaust, all mild steel except for the exhaust tip which is just a section of 304.

Here's the whole setup together. The intercooler piping is all aluminum, Precision air-air intercooler, Moroso catchcan w/ an extra male A/N fitting welded on.

The mild steel on my car, i dont really care about really. I'm sure the exhaust will outlast the car anyways. Its main objective was to pass stupid Vette drivers on the road course. Given that, i'll end up crashing it before the end of the summer.

Yup, tig'd everything on both setups. I used a Lincoln Electric Precision Tig 375.

im currently taking a welding course and the instructor said that when using tig u shouldnt use it near the cars computer cuz it might fry it cuz tig gives off microwaves or something...has anyone ever heard of this before or actually fry a computer lol?

We usually just disconnect the battery, but ideally if you want to play it safe, you'd unplug the ECU too.

I've just pulled the gas tanks out before if there is any question of safety.

Thats no fun though , you don't like having in the back of your mind if you are going to explode or not ?

Just kidding, pull the tank and the lines.
