Default Sun-faded rear seats ... What can be done ??

Like the topic says, my rear seats are a nice blue-ish color thanks to the mighty star at the center of our galaxy. I know most of us are having this problem and I thought I'd ask and see if there are ways of restoring the seats to their original black shade. Yes, I know buying a replacement is the easiest way to go but if you look at the classifieds or e-gay, you'll see most ads say the seats have the "usual sun fade"..

Any suggestions ?? Of course, if you have a nice set of rear seats with no fade and a decent price, feel free to let me know

you have 2options:
a. tint your rear windows
b. take them out
c. do both

seriously i've taken mine out so its basically a two seater but having tints also has it benefits..

The sun is not the center of our galaxy (Milky Way). It is the center of our solar system.

There is a super-massive black hole in the galactic center of the Milky Way.

Now in answer to your other question - you might see if an commercial upholsterer can re-dye the seats - it'll be expensive but cheaper than new ones.

Mine are faded and all I can do is just for not tinting back thar.

I plan on going with 35%, maybe 20% here soon before it gets worse. Right now they're still dark.. blue.

I'm glad it only took 2 replies to correctly place our Sun. 93 million miles, or 8 light minutes, away, is just right; faded seats or not.

True story Hmmmm. Wonder what it's like to be reduced to a singularity.

Being in Hawaii, it is more than likely inevitable that this type of thing will happen with my seats. I'm seriously considering haveing neoprene seat covers made. That should help. Or cover them up with a thick blanket. :\

No, JDM seats don't fade. They are sun-resistant.

I wonder if Honda/Acura does that so we dumb Americans are less inclined to try squeezing a third person back thar with no seatbelt for them?

Did I say galaxy ?? Naaa, that must have been a computer error. I clearly typed solar system ... ;P

Anyways, it looks like were going to have to replace the rear seats and tint that rear hatch glass.

Look at wet okole seat covers. They are based out of Hawaii and are the best seat covers you can buy. They custom make the covers, I had them on my jeep and will never buy a different cover. They can make it however you want!!! I cant give enough credit to this company!!!!
