Did AEM come out with a cold air intake for the rsx
I wouldn't rely on those numbers as to which one will make more horses...not tryin to be an *** or anything...i've yet to see a SRI make more power than a CAI in normal driving conditions, not just on the dyno...its expecially hard to believe when you see where the CAI is recieving its air from as aposed to the SRI...
Yes, AEM has both a Cold Air and Short Ram for the RSX and RSX Type-S. Base model RSXs with auto trans also have a specific application of CAS.
The AEM CAS makes consistent 9-12 hp at the wheels. There are results from AEM's dyno day on the company's web site under the press section, and dyno graphs next to the part number on the app chart (www.aempower.com). The Short Ram does not make as much power as the CAS. The CAS takes around 2-3 hours to install because you have to relocate the washer fluid reservoir, but if you want max power, it is the way to go. The SRS installs in about 30 mins. Hope that this helps!

just installed an AEM CAI on my friend's 02 RSX-S and it worked wonders. BUt like the man said, be prepared to take 3-4 hours to do it. List of things that you'll be doing: removing front bumper, removing (and hack-sawing) the splash guard and fender guards, removing airbox assembly, relocating hoses with annoying clamps, hopefully not pushing rubber grommits into the CAI pipe once you've got it on and go to put the airhose in it (DOH!), re-routing the goddamned piping and electrical components of your windshield washing fluid reservoir, as well as relocating that whole thing...but all in all it's a good four hours of improvement. good luck.
thats what SUCKS about the RSX! The Engine bay is so damn CRAMPED! You can BARELY do work in there. My friend has a SRI on his Type-S and its some weird shiz. The filter faces the driver! And I saw the header design for the RSX and its shaped weird.
I think the new design is giving aftermarket producers a headache!

Yea fusion does direct ALOT OF HATE towards the RSX owners.I don't feel the style of it too much, but it is growing on me.And once they get some more aftermarket support its going to be a pretty dam fast.I bet it will be at almost 200WHP with I/H/E.
yea you're right, it was a lot of work to put on the intake, but IMO it was totaly worth it...not just the power gain that i felt, but i also like the satifaction of working on my own ride...oh and on the comment about the engine bay being cramped, i totaly agree, but with the air box removed you'll see there's some room to work with...
Well I saw a dyno with injen intake and some exhaust and it said 187whp,so I figure with headers it should be around atleast 190whp?I may be wrong but I saw this dyno chart before.

even if thats true (which I doubt)... a header is going to add 13whp? i think not
