what clutch to use with ys1
i know i can use any b series disk and flywheel but i am unsure about the pressure plate. it is a cable tranny so i would think i would use the 90-93 teg pressure plate, but someone told me i have to use the hydro one cause the ys1 is like a hydro but in a cable case.
All cable b series transmissions use the 90-91 Integra clutch. The YS1 is the only one that uses the 92+ Integra clutch. Your friend is right, the YS1 is like a GSR/Type R tranny but in cable form. You can even swap in a Type R LSD and 4.785 FD if you grind the tranny case a little.
Yep, you need a 92+ integ or any newer hydro plate/flywheel/disk. The disk is required, otherwise the splines on the mainshaft will not fit (like from the 90-1 integs), I don't know too much about mixing other parts, but it is always a safe bet to match everything.
