Default Rocker Panel Repair/Replacement

So I searched, but didn't come across anything that told how you would go about replacing the rocker panels.

My driver's side one is probably going to need replacing (I haven't taken a better look yet).

Couple pics...

The underside doesn't look that bad. Most of what I can see inside there looks like surface rust. Is there maybe a way to get better access to it to look around some more?

I found rocker panels for $43 + $11 shipping.

Doesn't seem too bad. Are these hard to replace? I can weld. I've just not had to replace rocker panels before.

I take it the fuel lines run on that side? That would be fun trying to explain to the apartment complex why their garage is in flames.

any way patch panels are easy just cut out what u need to cut go about 6 inch pass the rusted out spot and piece in the part of the rocker u need i did my quarter panels about 2 months ago.
its not hard just takes patients and remeber u can alway cut more off but u can't just glue on more. start with more than u need and cut as u go. do rush!
they pics are unfininshed but i did finish them.

Quite the gangsta lean there. Good tip. Always cut less than you think you'll need and trim as required.

I hope you cut more of that off, or else the rust will be back.

Yeah those were taken before I dug out what I did in the last pic. I still have to jack it up and look around some more.
