Default cam adjustment theory...

what the to do's and the donts with adjusting cam gears. whats the common practices? what type of adjustments do you currently have?

One rule, go to a dyno to tune cam gears.

In general, advancing cam timing moves power to the midrange, whereas retarding the cam timing will move the power to the higher rpms.

which order is the best to adjust them?

do you tune the exhaust side for optimum power first, then do the intake side?

DOHC tunig is beyond my scope. My intake and exhaust cam timing is done with one gear!!!
