car shakes when idle, speedometer needle "slings"
hello everybody,
my accord shakes when it's on idle, like way more than it should regularly, any reason why?
also, when i accelerate, sometimes i gotta go at least 20 mph for the speedometer to move, and when it moves, it slings from 0 to 20, like a rubber band, any reason why?

I have a 90 Accord and My car idles rough, like its about to stall
someone Suggested to me once a bad Trans mount
But i think it could be the alternator
Do you notice a little bit of a hesitation when you give it gas during idle?

do you guy have any cels? check engine lights.
on the one with the speedo problem it could be a weak alternator if you not getting enough volts then the sensor has a hard time working at low speeds.
but I would bet it's the vss going bad try cleaning out your iac and the egr valve on the intake manifold.

wow, what's all this 'vss' and 'iac and egr' stuff? haha please elaborate
anyways, more specifically, i remember getting my intake manifold opened up and cleaned out a year ago...because i had a check engine line regarding one of teh sensors or something, but now i do not have any check engine light on
for the weak alternator not getting enough volts...i remember my car died because the battery was out 2 months ago, but i went to autozone and got the battery recharged....so do you think it might be the recharged battery that's not good enough?
also, anybody know anything regarding the car shaking excessively during idle?
