Ok heres the deal my friend gave me his vtec head and all the stuff u need to off his 95 civic and i have a 96 dx and want to know if its possable to do this and if i can what else am i gonnna need to make this work. I have the money now so i just need to know what i need to get and if anyone has done this any info would help... ThAnKs

 

First of all what exactlly are you trying to do here.
Which VTEC head do you have.
You have a sohc motor, you cannot put his head on your engine.
you have to get dohc block.

 

it is a sohc vtec head

 

You may need the 96 distributor may need the 95 Im not sure you need to wire the vtec on the computer and you need the vtec ECU. I am not sure what pins you need to wire.

u have a dx motor and u'r friend has a vtec head
and u want to do a vtec conversion.
-u need the computer which is p28 (i don't know what ecu code but u need EX ecu 96)
-a 96 EX distributor
-wiring for the vtec
and u'r set up
