Default Will +40 offset work with 99 accord coupe?

I just got some wheels and tires BSA 243s and they are 18X7.5 +40 offset and (225/40/18) tires. They are going a 1999 Honda Accord V6 Coupe that is stock. I am wondering if I am going to have any problems with this set right now? Also will I be able to lower it later? If some has some pics of this set up it would be great.

should work fine now....but if you were to lower later....+40 offset is kind of low....you ideally want to do +45 of more if you want to lower...

but it all depends on how much you lower...

I've got 18x7.5, same size tire as you but +45 offset....if I go over bumps too fast the rear fender will make contact.....it I load the rear to much....it'll make contact.

I'm not sure how much I'm lowered though...but I'm riding on some D2s

I'm running +42 with a set of 17x7s, and they stick out slightly.

If I have two people in the backseat, I can hear the tires rubbing against the body as I go over bumps in the road.

I have +40 blitz wheels with 225/45-17 and they rubbed a little but I am dropped about 2.5 inches. I had to roll the lip just a tad but now it is fine.
