Default Not ITR specific.. but got into a little accident....

This is not R specific. but figured you guys here are more educated in the automotive field than the other threads that are on HT. Wondering if i had damaged anything... or is there something i should look out for....

Scenerio happened like this. coming home from work, i have to take an exit onto an "Off Ramp". the off ramp has an "S" configuration to it and what not. Normally i can take that exit at max 50 mph... not saying that i do but that would be the fastest that i would take it if i were too.

Entering the "s" turn, first bend is a slight Right, then goes to a slight LEFT. So no biggie. i was going No more than 40-45 mph MAX.

as i was turning the wheel to the Left, anticipating the slight left bend.... Instead of turning slightly to the LEFT, car decides to go Straight and hits a wet/oil patch and slams into the side walk.

Front Right wheel hits the side walk first. then the RR follows with the momentum and also hits the sidewalk.....

I bounce off it pretty hard car seems drivable... so i drove off.. stopped and checked it out.... no body damage, but did recieve 2 scuffed up rims.

took the rims off, did not notice anything that is bent underneath the car. Not making any strange noises or clicking.... just feels like the alignment has been out of wack.....

IS there anything i should loook out for?

u're lucky u didn't get any physical damage besides the scuff on the rims. it doesn't sound too bad. i would just go and get alignment checked.

yeah i was lucky that i didnt have a head on collision with the sidewalk. but i did hit the sidewalk pretty hard. 75% of the impacted had occured on the FR wheel and the last 25% was on the RR.

since so much impact was on the FR... would you suspect any tranny/axle problems? since it looked like it had compressed the axle into the tranny... but the intregra does drive a bit weird after the impact.. its probably an alignment....

but like u had said. i will get an alignment done ASAP. but what about tranny/axle
