so i made a deal with a dude to buy a car part. i send him the monday on sunday and he said he would ship it out monday and email me the tracking number. i asked him if he was gonna scam me and he showed me his ebay feedback and one of the items had the same backround as the thing he was selling me.

so on tuesday i IMed him and same until today weds. this is how it went i bolded the most suspicious part..

me:you ship it yet
seller:yes 2-3 days ago
me: where's the tracking #
seller:I emailed it to you
me:I dont have it
seller: whats your email ill email it again
me: just give it to me right now
*silence*
me: go to your sent folder and paste me the tracking #
seller: its not there
seller: was the addy you gave me (some kinda shop)
me: yea its my buddies familtys shop why
seller: cuz i was worried i sent it to the wrong place
me: how you know
seller: the fedex lady told me
me: how she know
seller: its on her computer
seller: give me a second, there's a chance I might have to get back to you on that tomorrow
me: whats the problem you lost the paper or something?
seller: my sister moved all my stuff
seller: if you dont get it by next week I'll refund you the money

i mean im giving this dude the benefit of the doubt but I been to fedev 294347285 times and they NEVER told me what kinda place an address was. so i searched the address on smartpages.com and I did see the shop name so thats what he coulda dide just to pretend he did go to fedex

Give him until next week. Maybe he shipped it Fedex ground.

 

If you paid with a credit card or a bank debit card and you do get scammed.. Contact them, they will fight to get your money back. My bank has never let me down.

 

Give him more time.

I work for UPS...first off if he is unwilling to give you a tracking number then 1) he never sent it 2) he lost it and hasn't a clue where it is...in which case we tell him to suck up the cost b/c we aren't liable for his mistake...


if you got the part from EBAY you might be able to contact them and get HIS information and call FedEx or UPS with his shipper info and THEY can track it....UPS' inventory control is among the best and we have a location, time in transit and contents for everything in the system...always worth a try....make sure Ebay gives him some crappy feedback for it while you're at it...thats bad customer service!

 

Yea, call fedex and give them the addy it was sent to, the area it was sent from and the estimated ship date and they can look it up for you.
