Default ecm question on a 98 honda prelude

hello i was wondering is ecm and ecu 2 different thing or are they the same thing with different names?

ECU = engine control unit
ECM = engine control module

same thing, with different names. most people on here will refer to them as ECUs.

It's refered to as an ECM in the service manual. They are called ECUs in the vernacular.
