Okay, for starters, d16z6 block stock pistons, stock head, b16 rods, what kind of compression ratio could this produce? I know it can be done and should give lower compression, but how much lower?

Are you talking about a sohc block with a dohc head.

i would like to see how you do that.
oh when you're done, can i one of those setup too.
i bet the compression ratio is so low that it goes into negative numbers.

you can modify, and shot peen LS rods...and use them in an SOHC...but as far as I know the B16 rods won't work at all.

Okay, i hated to ask that question, because i knew I would get labeled an idiot newbie for sure. But anyway, the guy that is building the motor thinks he heard that they can be used, but i don't know.

Oh btw, we're not using the dohc head, just the cam, doh! I don't even know how that came across like that.

You can use b16 rods in a z6 with 1g supra pistons with minor modifications to the rods and block. Maybe that is what hes talkin about.

1.5 crank= pr3 rods
