Topic title says it all.

Notches on b16 cam gears align however Intake arrow points up, exhaust arrow points up, slightly to left, is this normal?

WHen putting belt on do i have arrows point straight up or notches align

You're good. The notches out at the teeth are the REAL timing marks. The only reason for the arrows is so you don't get it completely reversed.

I timed the motor like 3 different times putting the timing belt on the correct way, when i slide the crank to TDC right after I time it, the cam gears notches dont match up exaclty (the intake is one tooth higher than exhaust)

i was sure to rotate the crnk 3 teeth /degrees counter clockwise to take up slack, then i torqued tension pulley....

am i doin something wrong???? Marks were lined up before i turned the crank to makeu p for slack...

As I put the belt onto each pulley, I try to maintain the tension in the parts of the belt that I've put on before. Seems like that would be easier if I had about 4 hands, but it lines up OK when I'm done. Hard to say what you're doing different.
