Default FS: V8 5.7 MAZDA RX7 CARB LEGAL swap not supra mr2 350z z28 wrx 240sx

Up for sale is a clean title 1991 Mazda Rx7. It is powered by a reliable and powerful 5.7 liter V8. The swap uses a 350 TPI V8 from a 91 Camaro with a six speed tranny (T56, gets great freeway mileage). 151k on the chassis but there is only 20k miles on the rebuilt L98. I have paperwork for the engine and pretty much everything done to the car. This engine is a torque monster and it puts out over 350lbs ft of torque at low rpms for great power on the street. The swap was converted with a Hinson transmission brace and Granny engine cradle and I have lots of receipts for work done ($600 worth of work done this week alone). The car is clean in and out and has never been in an accident.

Mods:

Has two month old Falken 18X8/18x9 wheels with 235/265 tires

Sparco adjustable seats

custom 1000W sound system with subwoofers

Kenwood head unit, 6 disc cd changer and component speakers

Eibach springs, Tokico shocks

brand new distributor

brand new spark plug wires

brand new ignition module

brand new fuel filter

HKS dual exhaust

smog legal Edelbrock performer heads

Lingenfelter intake runners

Wings West spoiler

cold air induction

$2k recent pearl white paint job

new zinc plated and cross drilled rotors (front and rear)

keyless entry with alarm, ignition cutoff and trunk release

huge Griffin radiator (the largest you can fit in an FC)

slim electric fan

polished valve covers.

S5 LSD rear end

Custom Knightsports type headlights

As for handling, the car maintains the near 50/50 stock balance. The RX-7 is known for it's great handling and 50/50 front to rear weight distribution and many people think installing a V8 ruins the handling of an RX-7. Some weight reduction was performed and the end result is a 51.6 front and a 48.4 rear weight distribution; with a 190 lb. driver in the car it was 50.8 front and 49.2 rear (almost even 50/50).

Best of all the swap is CARB legal. There is a CARB sticker on the door and it has been taken to the smog ref already. This is a time consuming process and it is not easy to get a swapped car CARB certified. All the emissions equipment is in place as well. There is a similar vehicle (older and not as good looking with much less mods) selling for 10,500 on torque central. This is the V8rx7.com car, the car that pretty much started the V8 swap craze. It is daily driven and registered. I have the pink slip in hand. These cars hold their value, especially if they are CARB legal. $7650 firm.
