Default eBay Audio Stores - Trust or Not?

I don't know if i'm just paranoid, but i was wondering if some of the elctronics sold on ebay are knock offs????

cause all of the sellers claim that they are not "autorized dealers" of the products...

so what is the chance that a Rockford Fosgate amp and JL subs (new) are knockoffs in knockoff boxes?

an authorized dealer will sale the procuct higher than whats on ebay. Also an authorized dealer will have 1 year warranty with the manufacture. If the seller is not an authorized dealer and states product is "new" they should at least offer u 90 days warranty. Some of them will offer 1 year warranty but through them and not the manufacture so you would have to ship it to them if u want your product fixed adn more likely the product is refurbished. Others who sell products that state "refurbished" usaully have 7 day warranty.

Be careful some say product "new" but sometimes they are refurbished. I suggest to look on the bottom of each item page sometimes ebay offers you extended 2-3year warranty for a great price. The good thing about the extended warranty is that u can take it to a local shop who will honor the warranty and u wouldnt have to ship it to get it fixed.

Heres an example that happened to me i won onn ebay 2 12"kicker comps for 50 bucks shipped. The woofers were used because they were used as display. The woofers worked fine for me and i ended up selling them. Up to now the woofers are still working fine. I bought them on ebay by the name of the seller "fortunaenterprise" i vouch for them.

Now a month ago i won a pair of 6.5" infinity speakers from the seller name "bargain depot" Guess what one of the speakers tweeter did not work. I asked the seller for an exchange. I didnt get any response back but i left bad feedback. I recently found out that this seller is getting sued. Go figure!

Personally I only buy new stuff on ebay which is still way cheaper than the store and have never had any problem at all. I have gotten a set of alpine type-r 6.5 components, the Alpine MRV-T320 to power them, and my alpine type-r rear 6.5 coaxials. all bought 2 years ago, all still work perfect
