Apexi V-AFC on F22b1
I just got off of Apex-i's website and was puzzled by something that i saw on the FAQ section. it stated that the V-AFC did NOT work properly on "4 cyl. Accords". Anyone out there running one on an f22b1? if so is it working properly? and yes i kno there are better piggybacks out there, i really don't care. I'm in a position to get one from a friend for DIRT cheap. is this info on their website correct or is it just the aftermarket world's pure hatred for the f22?
people have used it and say it works. I personally would believe the manufacturer tho since the motor has variable vtec engagement and I don't know how the VAFC can control a variable signal, or if it simply "converts" it to a fixed engagement point.
If you don't hook up the vtec function it will work fine to trim fuel.
An AFC is really not useful unless you plan to actually get on a dyno and tune the car properly.

actually, you could street tune with a wideband o2, and simply tune for afr. its better than nothing.

For those that do have the vafc, how did you tune the fuel settings? I had mine at +1% for a bit. I then got a replacement motor installed, and my mechanic set me to run real lean. at least -10%
Just want to make sure i'm not gonna detonate anything before i get it dynoed.
thanks.
