ok im building a engine for my 90 crx, its not a daily driver more of a weekend toy !

i have a b18c1 bottom end with a b16a2 head ! my plans are to do a light port and polish on the head, fit skunk2 valves springs and retainers along with some buddy club spec 3 cams ! the cams are a bit of a compromise on price vs performance

eventually i want to fit itbs aswell

basically im wondering while the engines out what sort of gains i can expect by bumping the compression up a bit ? i can maybe stretch to some aftermarket pistons and rods or possibly some oem ones from another engine ?

any comments and suggestions welcome
