Just got a 1990 civic ex
So my parents just got me a 1990 honda civic ex w/ 202k miles on it. Its got terrible rims, bad paint, and crappy spoiler. Basically I'm looking at what I can do cheaply (under $600) to make it look decent.
Here are some pics:

(BTW, I've already put decent sound in it. 2 infinity refrence 6x9's in the back, and two infinity refrence 6 1/2's in the front, with an alpine ipod compatible deck).

i've thought about that but not sure what to buy for 'em. I've seen coilovers on ebay for $40 or so for a set. Will those be ok, or should I go for namebrand? Also, how hard is the installation? I'm kinda new with cars, but I've got tons of friends that are pretty good. Is it an easy 1 day thing? Or would I need to take it somewhere to have it done?

If your on a budget, don't get coilovers. Just get some H&R Sport Springs. They make the ride much firmer and lower your car about 1.9 inches. I got them on my hatch and it handles alot nicer too.
I suggest getting some:
H&R Sport Springs (like, $170)
And get a nicer exhaust. (I suggest Apexi WS or something that isn't a fart can like u got now.)
Your car is an EX so the engine and tranny should be good to go. (A6, correct?)

Yeah, the way I bought the car is the way it is now (excluding sound). I'm not too sure about everything in the car. The guy I bought it off didn't know too much about it, but it is the EX, so its got 108hp and its a manual tranny, so its not overly sluggish, but much slower than my mom's accord, and my dad's magnum.
So the H&R Springs.......Is there anywhere I can buy them in store for that price? or should I go online and try and find them on ebay or something?
And yes, the exhaust is a fart can. It's very annoying. BTW, there is some sort of cold air intake on the engine, but it has duct tape on it.....ricing at it's best......

i'll look into that site. my friend offered to sell me his enkei 17" rims off his old mirage (that he totaled) for $300 for the set. they dont have a scratch on em, but the problem is that my tires are only 16's right now..........so i would need new tires which would jack the price up........

Are Mirage rims even the same bolt pattern as a civic? IF they aren't just keep what you have for now and buy some rims that you want. I would stick with 15's or 16's. 17's are just a tad too big for these cars.

ok, i've got another question. the carpet in the car is extremely dirty, and is cut short, so you can't fit it under the door seal. Any chance of finding a carpet at a junkyard that i could cut to fit?
I love EF sedans!! And u got the uber rare EX too! Take pride and take very good care of it! It dosnt look in bad shape either... Good luck with the project...
Id probably do springs or wheels first... I wouldnt put 17"s on there tho, too big IMO... I would look for a nice set of 16"s or even 15"s... Something nice and clean looking...
