Default fog lights?

If i were to purchase a set of oem foglights for my 96 accord, do I need a control button for my steering column? you know, like the hazard lights. Sorry for the noob question.

The complete OEM fog light set will include a button that mounts near the HVAC controls. If you're purchasing the set used, then you might need a new button if the original owner did not remove it.

that is what I thought. I am ordering a JDM set but there is no button in the package. Does anyone believe the OEM button will match with JDM fog lights? I'm sure they do, just want to make sure.

where did you guys pick up those fogs? My friend has a 97 accord that we tried getting OEM, or oem style atleast, fogs and couldn't find any. We got that switch from TAS, which came quick and in perfect condition i might add, but the fogs we wired to the switch didn't work out too well.

I bought mine on ebay. They're OEM Style, not OEM. but they're amazing none the less. It's been almost 2 years and I have not had a single problem.

The bulbs that came in them weren't amazing, that's it. Just changed them for something else.

I basically just watched ebay one in awhile for 2-3 weeks until I found a good pair for cheap. Ended up paying around $70.

Got my foglight kit at Wal-Mart for $20. Came with everything I needed, except some extra wiring, and electrical tape. As for the switch, I don't like the style, so I just placed it in the coin-holder thing under the Cruise Control button. Going to get a real button that fits next to the Cruise Control button soon, I hope.

I am asking about the installation because I just bought these.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting

Now I did not pay what the auction says, they went up a second time around at a lower price. in all I spent $150.00 including shiping for some more JDM bling. Call me crazy if that's too much I just don't care. I had my eyes on the amber set for 2 years now.

I just want to know what else I will need to install them. Yes I know I need a fog light button, but as far as wiring goes I',m clueless.

honestly, your best bet is to just buy a kit.

-if you have money to spend, get an oem accesory kit
(its nice because its all plug and play and it enables the foglights to be only on with the headlights and they turn off when the brights are switched on)

-or get one of the ebay depo foglight kits, will have a harness but will only get power from the fuse box. but they're cheap.

i also got a set of jdm foglights by themselves so for a while i had them simply wired into my cornerlights, so they would come on at the first click on the light switch. but that got old so i got a kit.
