So just get a drill and drill it out? Like how from a small drill bit to a big one? LOL I don't know we going to try to fix it during the weekend.

ouch...maybe get a reverse thread tap and tap the bolt end so you could get that bish out, and not risk injury to the crank?

if he drills with a small enough bit it wont mess the crank up, whether he needs to tap the hole in it or not will be determined when the time comes, most likely that extra peice will just spin out

overtorquing the bolt causes that.

drill a hole and buy a set of "easy outs". They work great.

if he cant get the rest of the bolt out he's gonna need more than a pulley.

Get a bolt extractor set from any auto store and use that, then take it back the next day.

SUch great ideas here....ok so one man said that it maybe have been caused by overtorquing the bolt? But this happened while running on the street at around 25 miles. Can this cause any damage to the motor? Or no damage at all?

i cant see that causing any problems if the person stopped driving after it happened.. hopefully when it happened it wasn't at a very high RPM either. I wouldnt lose sleep over it.

i ended up enlarging the crank end hole and tapping 16x1.5mm threads to fit the larger crank pulley bolt
wsnt fun and im not sure if i was 100% dead on...
but it doesnt wobble..

He was doing a turn when it broke off he said he heard a big snap...at first he tought it was the timing belt. But then found this out. About the oil leak the timing belt is dry so it can probably be the oi pan gasket. I dont know thanks guys for the help though and any other help tips i will appreciate.

this happen when I was trying to change my timing belt, my friend tried to unscrew the bolt the wrong way and broke it, it's a pretty expensive bolt from honda if I can remember correctly, but I may be wrong.... but if I can remember right we tried to use a tap to get it out but ended up just using needle nose pliers and it spun out the opposite than it screws in, so in other words it came out turning it clock wise which I thought would tighted in... not sure if I'm remember correctly or not

i still dont understand how it happend...but unfortunately it did

OK we managed to get the engine running. But it runs like ****, it has power and everything but at idle it sounds like it's running too rich. Like it wants to turn off. And also the engines head is knocking not loud but we can hear it (tick, tick, tick) What can these symptons be?'

Sounds like when your pulley broke...your timing got all messed up...and the ticking noise would be bent valves. I'm sure anyone else can confirm this too.
