HELP!! Car won't start after having pumped FULL TANK!!
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I posted on the Tech section and no response. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Ok, I pumped my car full tank last night and afterwards it wouldn't start. It would crank but no start. After a several times of trying to start, the car would start and then just choke and die off. Then I tried it again and pushed the gas pedal a lil bit at a time to keep it from dying, and it ran. Has anyone had this problem before? This is a 00 Civic with a B18c motor w/BC IV cams and valvetrain. This only happens when I pump full tank. I remember recently when I changed my suspensions that I accidently left a jack under the gas tank while lowering the car and I dented the gas tank (OUCH). Hopefully someone knows what might be happening here. Thanks in advanced.

Those are pretty large cams... Nonetheless, it sounds like you have a fuel issue. Denting the gas tank shouldn't do anything. I accidentally did that on my old Civic.
After I fill the tank and try to start the car, it cranks and tries to start but doesn't, then after several tries it'll start, choke and die down. What do you mean by the fuel pump prime?
Before the car fires, you should hear a mechanical humming. Turn the car to ON(where the CEL, battery, etc lights up), but not START. You should hear it
oh yeah.. Wasn't paying attention to it, but that's a good idea to check. Only problem is that the pump was changed about 8 months ago.
Also, been running 91 octane since the swap (about 2 years ago).
