where on the motor would it say the type of motor it is... im fixing to get a gsr motor but i wanna make sure its a real gsr motor instead of somethign else.. im new to the whole engine thing so pardon the dumb question haha

 

On the front of the block, where the tranny bolts up ya know?? Theres a stamp right there.
