Default Crower Stage 1's Low Idle - Car Stalls

I have a 99 Si with Crower Stage 1's. I bought the car with this setup on Sat. The idle sometimes seems normal, like maybe 600-700rpm's then when I drive, approach a lite and put it in neutral and coast to the lite, the idle drops really low, mostly causing it to stall. I asked the kid what was up he said just to turn the dizzy a LITTLE bit towards the firewall. Should I do that or should I try to do it from the idle air screw?

The car has NO CEL'S. Setup is as follows:

AEM V2. CROWER 1'S, AXLE BACK

Thanks in advance

crower stage 1's are a very mild cam. They have oem primary lobes with modified Type-R Vtec lobes w/ more duration.
Sounds like you have other issues, are your valves adjusted correctly .007/.008?

yeah dont ever just move the distributor around like that, your messing up the ignition timing by doing so, especially advancing it. Valve adjustment sounds right, get one done if u can't do it yourself.

valve adjustment and clean your iacv or adjust idle speed higher. if it doesnt catch itself when the revs drop, thats a sign of iacv

well i just moved the dizzy a HAIR towards the firewall and adjusted the idle air screw just a bit, seems to be fine now. But did I just cover up a problem that isnt REALLY fixed? Car has 56k miles and he said he adjusted the valves when he did the cams, they dont seem to tick @ all... Thanks, GREAT INFO!

too tight? could that be the cause of the car's idle being ALL OVER THE PLACE! like it changes @ every other lite, from 900rpms to 550rpms? And sometimes when I come to a stop and push in the clutch the idle wont catch itself, like it almost stalls.

Okay so today it finally threw a CEL, So I brought it to Advanced Auto and they printed me out the data. It says:

P0172
System Too Rich
(Bank 1)

P0170
Fuel Trim
Malfunction
(Bank 1)

Does anyone have any experience with OBD2 CEL'S? And can tell me what the hell this means and how I fix it. I am pissed cuz I just bought this car 1 week ago and this **** is already starting!! I called the seller and asked him about the valve adjustment he did and he said "Well we can do it over on Monday if you want?" So i said yes. Maybe too tight? Too Looose, I dunno..anyone?

Thanks in Adv.

bump. What about the timing being off? Can I check that out with a timing lite? Will the lite be able to tell me whether or not the cams are off? Because I have been doing alot of searching and been leading towards either a problem with the primary o2 sensor or the timing/cams/valves being off adjustment because the person i bought it off said he out the cams in recently and adjusted the valves during the process.
