alright so The other day My axel broke and my axel seal got fuxed.....needless to say i drove about 10 miles w/o any fluid b4 i got to the next town....(was on interstate)....it kept popping out of 5th......i replaced axels and such and threw 2 quarts fo oil in it......so my question si now it makes a knocking noise when in gear...liek something rattling loose and whatnot.....does not pop out of gears or anything.......so i checked and it looks liek the boot or seal or whatever (i need a part name for this boot help me out)......and it was all worn and busted and leaking some oil....seemed to be making some noise....right where shift linkage meets transmission......could this be making noise?....or is my tranny taking a dump on my ***?.....im goung to look into it more tomarrow and add some more oil to tranny.......but help me out peeps....i searched and found some potentional answers.......help me guys!

my s1 tranny did the exact same thing before it gave out. it got locked in gear or something. hope this doesnt happen to you.
