turbo accord help

Default turbo accord help

i was just wondering, my accord 96 vti (F22B1 engine) has done 170 km and i have been wanting to turbo it, running 8 PSI and i am unsure weather my engine is going to **** its self if i do?

anyone know what i should do?

First I would do a compression test and a leakdown test to let you know whether or not it would be smart to turbo this motor or build another. After that you should evaluate your financial status. Take what you think it will cost and then double that and that is what you should have just in case. I am sure others will chime in, but that is just what I would do for starters.

do what this guys said ^^ and just make sure nothing is leaking and everything is in good working order, do you have 170,000 miles on the engine? or 170,000 kilometers or what? if you have 170,xxx kilometers it would be safer to boost if the car has been maintained. gl on the build

yeah its done 170,xxx kilometers, im from aus... i just bought the car not to long ago.. full service history, car has been maintained very well inside and out, engine runs perferct sounds perfect too.. ill probably just do the testing how you said to be safe, i was thinking if i just have it boosted stock 8psi it should be right

Tune it and you will be ok. That is if the compression/leakdown test goes good.
