i need a turbo kit for my prelude. i dont want to go cheap so i looked into full-race. they make a few things for the h22 that will fit a prelude but they dont make everything. i want to know what are some really good quality parts out there. i also want to know what turbo to use too. (looking into gt35r). i also need to know who makes an intercooler that is good enough to support alot of power. (upwards of 500 hp) i want this car to make alot of power and have the capability to be a daily driver but porbably wont be. i've got up to about 5k to spend on the turbo parts. (not including pistons/rods/resleeving) i'm new and dont want to get yelled at or anything. any help or info would be cool. thanks!

 

hate to crap on ur parade, but (and i could be wrong but this is what ive seen) ur gunna need more than 5k to get 500hp. Ive seen stage 1 turbo kits sellf for around 3-4grand. And with that and tunning ur probly over or just at 5K. Thats without pistons and crap. Maybe its cheaper to piece together ur own turbo kit but the ones ive seen on NOPI.com r likt 3k-3,500k. so thats just an idea of pricing. Hopefully u know some good deals or have a very cheap but awsome tuner and can install all this stuff urself; otherwise ur gunna be out real fast.

 

i hear the Zerosearch turbo's and intercoolers are pretty good. Might want to try them out

well you sure CAN make a honda fast, just not worth the effort imo....especially with a prelude

 

i know a prelude wont be the fastest but i want something that will be pretty fast thats not the usual civic hatch or integra. a really fast prelude would be kinda rare. plus i like the looks of a 4th gen lude over a civic hatch (even though i really like the look of them).

 

well for the turbo you are lookin at and the cost of a really good turbo your already lookin at close to 2000 and thats not including the turbo mani which could cost you up to 800-1000. now your going to need hondata or something you can tune with. hondata with boost and a p72 ecu = 675-700. new injectors (760's would be nice) = 380ish, waste gate 200 ish, good bov another 200 ish, limited slip 500-900, all of the piping 200-300, 3bar gm map sensor = price from the dealer, all of the gauges (boost, oil pressure, egt..etc)just those will be roughly 300, your going to need a wide band as well. so do the math. 5k may or may not get you what you want. dont forget the install charges (if your not doing it yourself) and the dyno time.

 

hey man go to homemadeturbo and surf their forums. i have a turbo in my 4th gen (i love it, havnt been to the track yet tho). but for the kit and all (after the rebuild) i spent about 1400$. full kit. i had to make the downippe though but it was fun and not that expensive. just look for a manifold(NOT SSAUTO) turbo (i have t3/t4) and u can get the IC piping off ebay for like 200?.

He has a 10sec Prelude
I think he has a Full-Race manifold and a spearco intercooler.
