Default H22A exhaust issues

Hey ppl I'm having some issues fabricating my exhaust. For starters, I want a Prelude cat with the correct flanges on each end, but I suppose I can do without on the back side going to the extension pipe. Does anyone know where I can get a cat with a 2.5" diameter? My other issue is this... what whould be my perfect exhaust diameter? I'm using a DC Sports ceramic header and a custom fabricated 2.5" exhaust. However, my OBX muffler has an adjustable baffle that allows me to adjust the backpressure. I can close it up all the way which will leave me at 1 7/8" which should be good for daily driving and fuel economy, but, I'm also concerned that it's too small and could be damaging. Am I being too paranoid? Of course I could take the baffle out completely but it's too loud and I will lose too much backpressure. What would be the best diameter for the best balance of horsepower and torque between 1 7/8" and 2.5"?
