Bad IAC = Code 43?
98 b18b in EF civic w/ only a megan header and aem cai and obd1 p75 ecu
I don't get a code 14 but my idle drops down so low that it will cut off sometimes coming to a stop, if I go to start it after its been driven and its still kinda cool I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it started. But driving down the highway at a steady rpm or putting my foot in it really quick will bring on a code 43.
I've had this ever since I did the swap and I've already changed out the o2 sensor twice(I have another one coming since I got a code 1 with the 43 the other day
), changed the fuel filter, the FPR checks out ok, I have a walbro fuel pump on order, no vacuum leaks, and I've cleaned & readjusted the FITV.
So for ***** I decided to try unplugging the IAC today to see what might happen, nothing. Idle stayed the same. I can't adjust the idle through the idle screw either.
Anyone have any suggestions? I did search but I couldn't find anything similar

from what I can tell in the searches that I have made, unless your o2 sensor fixes it , nobody knows

ive never seen an iacv throw out a code 43
have you tested all of your injectors to see that they are in good working condition? you could have a wiring problem or a bad injector

The wiring to the injectors is straight. how do you test the injectors? Each injector picks up but I don't know if they've gotten dirty or don't flow enough for some reason.
My next step was going to be replacing the iacv anyway since it doesn't change the idle when its unplugged. The step after that is going to be new injectors.
I gotta get this figured out before july when my emissions testing is up.
