Default h22 pro2 cams won't idle!! any suggestions

just installed some skunk2 pro series stage 2 cams in a friends h22 and it won't idle. the bottom end is stock, head has been ported and has portflow valvetrain with ferrea valves. car drives fine after about 1500 rpm also vtec doesn't feel very strong (may not have anything to do with idle which is what im focused fixing). the car has proseries camgears set at 0 degrees.

any other work done? milled head ect.
and when you say doesn't idle do you mean it stalls below 1500 or something else

pretty wild cam for a stock bottom end. What did you expect? a non tuned motor with wild cam and minimal compression to run perfect?

what did expect? as i stated previously i installed these for a friend not on my own car i didn't expect anything. the car should idle fine with these cams they are not that much different than the regular skunk2 stage 2's and i know of plenty of people running these as daily drivers with stock bottom ends with no idls problems at all.

Are they really? For the B-series the Pro1 is roughly similar to the Stage 2 cam in terms of wildness. I can only imagine that the H-series Pro lineup is just as big.

then again, you are tuned, you have close ratio gears. Those kinda compensate for the large cam.

what are the exact specs of the pro 2's?

tuned? Of course

2.2EG on this board has the cams in his jdm h22 with a Skunk manifold. Makes 220/156 on a dynojet, H2B car as well.

My car drove and idled fine without a tune. I did gain another 7-8 whp peak from the tune thoough....

I would just make sure everything is lined up at TDC

Could be a stupid question, did you adjust the valve lash after the install, if not you could have 16 bent valves.. I know its obvious, but just thought I would ask
