painting piece above the exhuast's on 01
Hello, I was just curious how hard it is to remove the black piece above the exhuast's on an 01 to have painted. Im not very handy, didnt know if i could do it myself or not?
yes you can take it off, but why would you want to paint it,
it going to look like you repainted the whole rear bumper, just a waste of money time, looks 10x better black,

BTW...that piece does not come off separately from the bumper. It is part of the bumper. Look under the car to see for yourself.
It can be painted though, and does look unique. Ap1_S2i...looks sharp.
Post pics of the rest of your car. Looks nice with that white hardtop.

What size and offset were you able to get? Those are some damn light wheels.

The rear piece DOES NOT come off the bumper unless you cut it off. The Ztec piece is just a cover. If you still don't believe it, go to your car and take the Ztec piece off. Then try to take off the OEM piece. Pull as hard as you can just to make sure, ok.

I personally wouldn't paint it. Painting it just seems like you just get a new back bumper and the painter just got lazy and painted the whole thing instead of taping it up or painting it black. It also makes the rear look fat. = |

It makes the rear look lower... hense why the new rear bumper is completely painted
