Tune the stock ecu or buy a chipped ecu from ebay? please help
I have a 1996 Integra GSR and i am rebuilding the motor and i also put in new valves, springs, retainers, camshafts, cam gears, all new gaskets, all new bearings, new timing belt, clutch, flywheel, intake, exhaust, headers, intake manifold, and throttle body. I wanted to buy a chipped p72 ecu for it but it is OBD1 and it might not work in the obd2 system. so would it be better to just get it all tuned afterwards or to just buy a pre tuned ecu?
easiest is to get a conversion harness (OBD2a ---> OBD1) and a chipped P72/P28 from pherable or someone more reputable than ebay. And then you can always sell your stock ECU or just is as a backup for w/e.
I bought an ecu from the guy I can vouch for everything getting done in a timely matter and what I asked for with no issues or problems. This was a while back

also, i live in new york and to pass an inspection, we have to be hooked up to the obd2 to see if the cel is on. if i bought my tuned obd1 ecu and had it in, and then come inspection time, put the stock obd2 ecu in, would that work??
