Default Clutches and Flywheels for 5th gen lude

whats a good overall normal everyday driving flywheel to purchase that wont mess up the tranny after a period of time...I've heard that if you get too light of a flywheel, it can mess up the tranny....not sure if thats true or not but I don't want a crazy one anyway..just something a little better than stock. also whats a good stage 1 clutch...thanx

personally, I wouldn't go anything lighter than 12-13 pounds...it could mess with the balance of the crankshaft. But a good stage 1 would be exedy. That's what I run w/moderate mods and holds pretty well, good life so far. It's around 40% more holding than stock, feels like stock...

wow. well your personal experience with flywheels is horrible. everything is alright info.

do you know how many preludes run 8lbs fidanza flywheels??? it won't mess up anything. the only thing i noticed was faster dropping rpms after shifting.

WON'T affect daily driving

if you want OP, just get a oem replacement or stage 1 xxxxxxxx and a lightweight flywheel.

I have the fidanza 8lb + exedy organic disk - clutch pedal feels like stock, revs are a bit more responsive as well, streetability is not a problem at all, just give it a bit more gas when starting up hill. My only complaint is that this particular setup chatters on my car...no one else with that setup that I know has that problem.

I like my 8lb, my room mate has a 12.2 cluchmaster fw and he loves his, thinking mine is way too light for his taste.
