My dash gauge lighting goes in and out all the time now (havent checked yet) but on my way to virginia (200 miles) it went out, but when i got there i noticed my temp gauge was way into the red because i couldnt see the thing. I turned on the heat and it dropped right below half instantly. Before i left i noticed the car is making a chattering sound like metal rattling only under acceleration. I just got the clutch replaced and am now noticing the noise.

Could it be my water pump going out? or something else?
