I would give my right arm to have the opportunity to own a clean 89 Si. I cant for the life of me find any in San Diego, not even a beat up one. They are nowhere to be found around here. If the car is clean I would go for it.

wait youre talkin about a smoother ride with cut springs.....?¿?..i mean yeah the b17 makes it sound nice..but even though yours is like 3 diff. colors....its up front..so the fenders are removable..or you can just get em painted...now the rear 1/4 thats a bitch....and if you do get it painted theyll charge you an *** load for the body work...plus if the brakes cylinder is goin bad...that can only mean bad news....your brakes are the most important thing in your car...i mean what good is a gsr if you cant stop it from hittin the wall or the car in front of you...hell thats prob. how he hit the curb.......i got lucky too and found a nice clean b16 Si...R-63....Rio Red baby...lovin it...

listen to me....keep your car ,,dont ever get a car that hit a curb and broke suspension,,ever..i learned the hard way....bought a crx that had a blown gsr motor wit lsd cable b16 tranny, hasport mount/linkage, and came with a spare running b16a,and mint interior for only $700, but the catch was, the front right suspension was how that cars was you're looking at...******* hit a curb streetracing and broke basically every suspension component on the right side..i had to replace crossmemer, radius bar, lower control arm, upper control arm, shock fork, through bolt, some of the steering,axle,hub,caliper,rotor,rim....you get the point and after all that **** found out the frame was bent to ...so dont ever buy a car with that kind of damage,,i dont care what motor it has,,cause whats the point of a good motor if you cant even drive it straight ..i had to get my frame straightened and that was not cheap,,even with the hookup

Wow he must of hit that curb hard man. Straightening the frame? I've hit a curb in a friends Integra doing 90kmh, high speed blow out on the highway into a curb. We ruined the front bumper and the fender and the rims snapped. But we never got the frame. The lower ball joint snap off too, but it wasn't in the best of condition. I say get the B17 car to a frame shop and see what they say. If they say the frame is straight then look around for a wreck yard Si or Dx and steal the suspension out of that...but if the frame is fucked, don't bother, it's a wrecker at that point.

just try to get the engine from him for a price and throw it into your car, i would do a leak down test and a compression test before buying it as well as a full look around for missing sensors and such

Neh, i bought my car with a blown zc about 9 months ago. I have to post pics of it soon. I bought it for 650. 90 Si came with a straight body, fluidyne full rad, headers, intake, rotora rotors, aem pads, act street/strip clutch kit (which sux complete ***) and a pretty clean interior.

I will never trade my baby.

I think their is another dude here with a similar name.

Most people, or the ones that know what they are talking about, will tell you to never trade or buy someone else's project. It is hard enough to know what is wrong with a 16 year old car. imagine a car that has been molested and ****. BUILT is always better than BOUGHT!

keep your car. Save money and buy a b16, if you are so inclined.

well suspension may not be rocket science but once you have a bent frame... well you can get it straighted if you have the right machinery chances are he doesnt I have had a 95 civic hatch with a bent frame, it was nothing but hassle the car couldnt be aligned
