Call me crazy, but wouldn't the vibration of the sub cause damage to the box-mounted amplifier? I'm almost certain it would, over time.
But hey....bump for a dope *** sub and equally dope amp.

well, in that case you should know that used audio equipment is not worth much. but you are asking way to much for used stuff. your best bet it to post it up on ebay.

Each sub has a optimal spec for the size of the box/air that you shoiuld use... and amps should not be mount on the box because it makes the box weak it you are pounding that sub... the sub could crack the box.

</TD></TR></TABLE> you have to be kidding me. there isn't much pressure inside that box, it's ported. How will it crack? Also get any sub meant for a small box and throw it in a big ported box, see how loud it'll get.

According to the JL spec sheet, it looks like the box made for that sub is within suggested spec for a ported application. Ported boxes are almost double the size of the suggested sealed box size for a particular sub.
And as far as mounting amps to sub boxes...I've never seen MDF crack in my whole life. I mean, even a 15" L7 in a box, with the amp mounted to the back of it, 2 years later is still hitting with no issues yet. I can see how maybe the solder points in the amp could loosen off, but the box cracking? I'd have to see it to believe it.
Regardless of opinion, good luck with the sale....priced pretty well if you ask me.
