How much to rebuild a motor?

How much in parts would it cost to rebuild a 2001 s2000 motor? And where could i find a rebuild kit?

this is what the owner said: The cylinder head is junk on the car but the bottom end just needs rebuilt with new pistons. so it sounds like the whole thing?

new motor for 4k + install if you source the motor yourself. Honda charges 10-12k for new motor and install

you could find a motor, then send it down to inlinepro.com to get stroked and installed... i was looking at this option too, look for the thread labeled 2.5liter strokerkit in this forum, the guy from inlinepro is posting pics as he strokes the engine.
