RSX 2002 DROPPED A PISTON OR SOMETHING INTERNAL FOR SURE...

My cousin has a 2002 RSX base model with 100,000+ miles on it...About two weeks ago he heard a loud "clang" and then the car started leaking engine oil. After getting the car to the house, we discovered a hole in the oil pan and a long crack on the block...I know something is shot for sure we havent dropped the oil pan yet but its pretty bad. Anyone had this happen to them??

plenty of guys blew their motor. he problee hasnt been keepin up with the routine maintenace

dang.... a long crack on the block???? what was he doing??? normal drive or what??? a crack in the block means you had to be doing something really bad. The last time i heard about a crack in a block was when a guy about 3 streets over from my house was over boosting with a B18 and killed his motor....

His car probably topped out at 160. He needs NOS.

The whole engine is shot, your cus should start shopping for k20a2 replacements. I havent blown up a k series engine, but I did spin a bearing on an old b18b and put the rod right threw the block. The whole was so big I could have had a 5 cylinder. Hello Vigor!

Yeah...He is either going type s or just a cheap replacement Accord motor...We have yet too still know whats up...He is planning on getting a bike, so this will be a new project we can attempt to do ourselves...Cause thats what its all about...Hard work and the pride that comes with it...

I'd take the opportunity and do a K24 swap. But that's just me. 100,000 miles on a '02? Wow.
