Default HELP! Bolt sticking out of engine block!!

I have a B16 (2000 Si) and I was changing my oil yesterday when I noticed something strange. When I took my oil filter off I noticed a bolt sticking out next to it about 1 1/2 inches. I believe it was a 12mm, and when I tried turning it in, it was really really seized.

What is that bolt? Should it be something I should be worried about?

Umm... no picture now. I guess I could get one later... probably tonight or tomorrow.

I think it's the bolt immediately to the bottom right of the filter in that picture. Well, there's no bolt in that pic, but I mean the one that belongs in that hole.

wouldn't that hold on that pain in the *** brace that connects the intake manifold and the block?

Huh? That seems too far away to have any relevance.

Plan B is right. I remember looking through my friend's Si to compare hoses, etc. when I was taking off my jrsc and I saw this bolt sticking out under the filter. I put his car on ramps to check it and I think it was the manifold support bolt. If you look at it, the bolt has a washer welded in the middle to keep it from being screwed all the way in. I think honda did that so there is enough clearance to remove the bolt.

Wow. So you mean it's supposed to stick out like 1.5 inches? It just looks so wrong!

Check to see if you have the manifold brace on.. if no... then it's an extra bolt...
