How tight do u guys have your Timing belts?!@
I want to hear a couple oppinions on how tight the timing belt should be... my head has been milled a couple tiimes... so the factory tensioner leaves the belt a lil loose.... i've had a belt come off on the dyno so i rather have it tighter then looser...... so i pry up on the tensioner to get it a lil tighter.. my question is .. how tight should i have it... i wanna hear what u guys have to say about it... any input would be great... thanks
I tighten mine up so theres no slop on either side of the cam gear, but not forcefully. I'd rather have mine a little tight than loose, the belt will loosen slightly over time anyways.

are you serious?
cause thats seems hella loose.. mine is like a 1/4 inch ... what about the twist rule... if you can twist it 90 degrees its too loose? is that what some of u guys go by? cause i can twist mine about 45 degrees.... i am just nervous if my belt is too tight.. and i dont want it too loose.. i wish there was a good way to set it... besides just the stock tensioner spring..
